KUALA LUMPUR: The Nurburgring driving experience is back, with Castrol Malaysia offering the public a shot at one of the most famous tracks in the world.
Last year, the lubricant company gave Malaysians the chance to challenge themselves on the German track through The Castrol EDGE Experience Nurburgring.
Now the challenge is back for the second time and the hunt is on to find the next Malaysian who will get to go to the race track famously labelled the ‘Green Hell’ by Formula 1 legend Jackie Steward.
The easy-to-enter and interactive campaign is open to all Malaysians with a valid driving licence and will run from Jan 16 to March 17 over a two-stage selection process.
Stage 1 (Closing date - Feb 27): Race in a BMW M3 around the virtual Nurburgring track to complete as many laps as possible and invite or challenge as many friends as possible on
Facebook to support your race to Nurburgring to earn a place in the top 20.
Stage 2 (March 16 & 17): The top 20 finalists and top 10 car club finalists will have the opportunity to undergo an advanced driver training and battle it out in a BMW in the ultimate test of driving skills at the exclusive Castrol EDGE Experience Malaysia-Nurburgring Challenge.

The grand prize is the ultimate driving experience through 72 twists and turns of the Nurburgring.
The lucky winner will also get a two-day driving programme that covers drifting, hot laps, slalom training and guided laps of the Nordschleife track with other lucky winners around the world in a BMW M3 and an opportunity to experience a host of other BMW models ranging from 1 Series to the 7 Series and even SUVs such as the X5, X6 or X6M.
Additionally, other prizes such as Castrol EDGE Nurburgring Home Experience (Castrol EDGE Racing simulator + PS3 + Sony Bravia 40” LCD TV), Tag Heuer watch, iPhone 4S, Xbox Kinect 360 Kinect, Oakley shades and iPod Shuffles are also up for grabs.
The event ties in with Castrol's new oil - Castrol EDGE.
